TONY SCHROEDER AND MARGARET "PEGGY" BARR-SCHROEDER FAMILY
Margaret "Peggy" Barr-Schroeder was born in 1951 to Robert Lee Barr, Jr, and Margaret "Marge" Teresa Ferris-Barr, a few weeks after the "Shot Heard 'Round the World", one of the greatest moments in Major League Baseball, when the New York Giants' Bobby Thomson hit a game winning home run in the bottom of the ninth inning off of the Brooklyn Dodgers pitcher Ralph Branca, to win the National League pennant after being down 14 games. She grew up in Kansas City with her four brothers and two sisters. Peggy married Michael Shields and the two had three children. She remarried Tony Schroeder and the two live in the Kansas City area.
